Information for JACoW Conference Organizers and Editors

The JACoW documentation pages provide full information about how to run a conference using JACoW-Indico, including documentation about how to use the various JACoW tools needed for producing proceedings.

JACoW has recently completed the transition from using SPMS to JACoW-Indico as the tool for producing proceedings. Please note that updating this website to reflect these major changes is a work in progress, and at the moment, some outdated information about the technical aspects of proceedings production may still be found in this section of this wiki.

How to request a JACoW-Indico instance

To use JACoW-Indico along with the profiles and affiliations repository, the conference chair must request permission from the JACoW Chair and/or Coordinator , who will ask the JACoW-Indico manager to set up the JACoW-Indico instance. Refer to Requesting an Indico instance for an email template.

The timing for getting the JACoW-Indico instance depends on the scope of the conference or workshop. As an example, for HB2016 it was done 10 months before the conference; for IPAC'17 20 months prior.

When the JACoW-Indico instance has been created, you’ll receive an e-mail with the URL.
